Voucher and Cash Payment Methods: Boleto, OXXO, Konbini

Voucher and cash payment methods generate a printable reference — a barcode, voucher number, or QR code — that the shopper takes to a bank branch, ATM, or convenience store to pay in cash. Settlement is asynchronous: you receive a webhook notification when the payment is confirmed, which can take anywhere from a few hours to several business days depending on the method. Do not fulfill orders immediately after the initial API response for these methods. The initial response for all voucher methods returns status: "pending_action" with an actionRequired payload containing the barcode or voucher reference your UI needs to display.

Set an apm.expirationSeconds value in your request to control how long the voucher remains valid before it expires. This limits your exposure window for unfulfilled orders.

Voucher payments are not reversible once the shopper has paid at the point of sale. Avoid using them for time-sensitive goods or services unless your fulfillment flow can handle late or missing payments gracefully.

Boleto — `boleto`

Boleto Bancário is Brazil’s legacy printable bank voucher. The shopper receives a barcode they can pay at any bank branch, ATM, lottery house, or via internet banking. Settlement typically takes 1–3 business days after payment. The response resolves via the boleto_voucher action type. Currency: BRL, Brazil.

OXXO — `oxxo`

OXXO is Mexico’s largest convenience store chain, with over 20,000 locations. The shopper receives a voucher reference they present to the cashier and pay in cash. Settlement is confirmed within 24–48 hours of payment. Currency: MXN, Mexico.

Konbini — `konbini`

Konbini is Japan’s convenience-store cash payment network, covering 7-Eleven, Lawson, FamilyMart, and other major chains. The shopper receives a confirmation number they present at the store’s payment terminal. The response resolves via the konbini_voucher action type. Currency: JPY, Japan.

JPY is a zero-decimal currency and uses exponent: 0. A value of 5000 equals ¥5,000 — there are no decimal places.
