Therius supports a wide range of bank transfer and direct debit methods across the Americas, Europe, and beyond. Most are redirect-based and return status: "pending_action" with a redirect URL or QR code for the shopper to complete. Settlement timelines vary significantly by method — from near-instant (Pix) to several business days (ACH, Bacs). Use the method-specific notes below to set accurate expectations with your shoppers.

Pix — pix

Pix is Brazil’s instant payment system and the country’s dominant payment method. The shopper receives a QR code or copy-paste key and completes payment through their banking app. Settlement is near-instant, 24/7. Currency: BRL.

ACH — ach

ACH is the standard US bank-to-bank transfer network. Settlement takes 1–4 business days. Currency: USD, United States. ACH also supports tokenization — set apm.tokenize: true and include shopper.id in your request to save the bank account for future use without requiring the shopper to re-enter their details.

SEPA Direct Debit — sepa_debit

SEPA Direct Debit covers the Eurozone plus the UK, Switzerland, and Norway. The shopper authorizes a mandate, and funds are pulled from their account. Settlement typically takes 2–5 business days. Currency: EUR.

BECS Direct Debit — au_becs_debit

BECS is Australia’s Bulk Electronic Clearing System for direct debit. Currency: AUD, Australia.

Bacs Direct Debit — bacs_debit

Bacs is the UK’s standard direct debit scheme. Settlement takes 3 business days. Currency: GBP, United Kingdom.

iDEAL — ideal

iDEAL is the single most-used payment method in the Netherlands, covering over 60% of Dutch online transactions. The shopper is redirected to their own bank’s online banking environment to approve payment. Settlement is same-day. Currency: EUR, Netherlands.

Bancontact — bancontact

Bancontact is Belgium’s most popular online payment method, used by nearly all Belgian cardholders. It is redirect-based. Currency: EUR, Belgium.

Przelewy24 — p24

Przelewy24 (P24) is Poland’s leading online bank transfer aggregator, connecting over 165 Polish banks. Currencies: PLN, EUR.

EPS — eps

EPS (Electronic Payment Standard) is Austria’s national online bank transfer scheme. Currency: EUR, Austria.

Multibanco — multibanco

Multibanco is Portugal’s bank payment network. Rather than a redirect, the shopper receives a reference number and entity code to enter at any Multibanco ATM or via their bank’s online portal. The response resolves via the multibanco_voucher action type. Currency: EUR, Portugal.

BLIK — blik

BLIK is Poland’s mobile payment standard, used directly within banking apps. The shopper generates a 6-digit one-time code and enters it at checkout. Currency: PLN, Poland.

PSE — pse

PSE (Pagos Seguros en Línea) is Colombia’s primary online bank transfer method. The shopper is redirected to their bank to authorize the transfer. Currency: COP, Colombia.

SPEI — spei

SPEI is Mexico’s real-time interbank transfer system. The shopper receives a CLABE reference number to complete the transfer from their bank. Settlement is typically same-day. Currency: MXN, Mexico.
